I saw a fellow Artist’s painting get ripped before. Not a pretty sight. The wind knocked it over.

In either case, the value of each shouldn’t be less, once the area is fixed. A painting falling  is not the same as a  restaurant serving you a cheeseburger that  fell on the ground…..:)
