James is in the pic on the left here.

Amy Burns is a teacher who I met met maybe 3 years ago and I’ve been going to her class at least twice a year ever since. She’s one of those teachers who you can tell really loves to teach. I also get that same vibe from her assistant, Sherry Sims.

I look forward to seeing and drawing her students in the future.

Most of the Caricature Artists have met him because the field of working Artists is a small network. All of us eventually cross paths. Here is the note sent out by his wife:

“It is with great sadness and disbelief that my beloved Marc passed away on Saturday, January 30th. He was my best friend of almost 29 years and will always be part of me. He loved being with all of you, even through his illness, he cherished the times he could see you, to laugh and joke and share what he loved most. He expressed his wishes to my daughter, that he be cremated and did not want a service. My only consolation is, that his suffering is finally over and he is at peace. We all loved him so much and will miss him forever. I ask of you to share this news with other artists, as I do not have all the email addresses.”

On Saturday 11/14 and Sunday 11/15  I drew Caricatures with 5 other Artists at the Olympic Club in San Francisco.

The event was a Father/Daughter Dance, a tradition the club has had for at least 35 years. This was my first time being there and hopefully the first of many times.

I believe that’s a golf course Tiger Woods visits when he comes to the Bay….
